For hard to reach areas where scaffolding is not an option, an elevated working platform such as a cherry picker can be used. But what most workers forget is that the use of fall protection inside a platform, gondola or cherry picker can be desirable. In the past there have been many cases of workers being tossed from the cradle due to sudden movement or other causes. Most ending with serious injuries or even death. Although there is no specific law or rule about wearing a safety harness inside an Aerial Working Platform (AWP), XSPlatforms strongly advises to do so. Better safe, than sorry.

For working inside a cradle, elevated platform or AWP we have assembled a specialized PPE set for fall protection purposes. Or better to say, fall restraint purposes. This set exists out a full body safety harness (type: Static I) and an adjustable positioning lanyard. The user can attach the lanyard to one of the anchorage points available inside the cradle (although there is no law, most of modern days AWP are equipped with anchor points inside the platform).
